More often than not, we live our lives keeping other peoples life as the benchmark. We want to be like them. We want their joy, lifestyle and life. And when we are unable to match it, we begin to despair. Envy takes over. Jealousy rules. The painting depicts this muddled up state with envy and despair living in perfect harmony.
